    The Indian Premier League (also known as the IPL) is a Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the IPL Governing Council under the Board of Control for Cricket in India.     2008 - Rajasthan Royals

    2011 - Chennai Super Kings

    CSK was the first IPL side to defeat RCB in two finals. During the IPL 2011, Mr Cricket and Michael Hussey both played important innings. CSK was the winner due to the fact that Murali Vijay and Hussey were on the opening team with 159 runs against RCB.

    2012 - Kolkata Knight Riders

    In the final, KKR beat Chennai Super Kings, the champions who are defending their title. The support of Lasith Malinga, Kieron Pollard, and Mitchell Johnson remained constant throughout the game.

    2014 - Kolkata Knight Riders

    KKR was the 2nd team to take home the IPL trophy twice. Manish Pandey was the hero in the final match of 2014's IPL, as he allowed KKR run for 199 runs overall. Robin Uthappa of KKR won the orange cap with scores of 660 in just 16 innings, while Pandey managed 94 runs from 50.

    2015 - Mumbai Indians

    They won the finals, with fantastic players like Ambati Rayadu Rohit Sharma, Lasith Malinga, Simmons, and Kieron Pollard. After CSK won, Mumbai Indians became the third team to win IPL Season at least twice. The title was won thanks to the unification among team members. The bowlers' Lasith Malinga took 24 wickets.     2016 - Sunrisers Hyderabad

    The team beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by just 8 runs. As a captain, David Warner managed the team well. However, IPL 2016 is famous for the partnership of Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers during every RCB match. Virat was part of 16 innings and scored 7 half-centuries as well as four centuries. He was the winner of the orange cap for the entire season.

    2017 - Mumbai Indians

    2018 - Chennai Super Kings

    CSK was the team who won more than two awards alongside veteran players like Ambati Rayadu, Dhoni and Shane Watson. Dhoni was a star and scored the best finishes during matches. The primary reason for their success was their bowling team which included MS Dhoni, the captain and Dwanye Bravo.

    2019 - Mumbai Indians

    In the finals, MI played again with Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai Indians were crowned the champions following the final match. The final outcome was based on the final bowl. With this, MI was the most successful team in IPL history following the fourth IPL title.

    2020 - Mumbai Indians

    In IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians took home the IPL title for the second time and for the fifth time. The match was between Mi and Delhi Capitals. MI won the IPL trophy by five wickets. Mumbai Indians also won Paytm Fairplay Award in this particular year.

    2021 - Chennai Super Kings

    CSK defeated KKR by 27 runs on 15 October 2021. The final was played in Dubai and CSK scored 192 runs using just 3 wickets, and beat KKR by 27 runs. After their win in 2021, CSK climbed to 4th position in the IPL. Harshal Patel, RCB, became the purple cap holder. Ruturaj Gaikwad, IPL's youngest player, won the IPL orange cups award.

    2022 - Gujarat Titans

    IPL 2022 final match was between Gujarat Titans (qualifier 1) vs Rajasthan Royals (qualifier 2) on 29th May 2022. GT won the tournament by seven wickets. Jos Buttler scored 863 runs in 17 matches, including four hundred runs and four fifty-five. That's the maximum. For the 2022 IPL tournament, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans and Royal challengers Bangalore were all part of the competition. Gujarat Titans (GT), became the first team to climb to the top of the list with 20 points. The team played a total of 14 matches, and they won 10 matches.
